Baked Broccoli Cheese Balls are a delicious and nutritious snack or side dish made with fresh broccoli, cheddar, and Parmesan cheese, all baked to golden perfection.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cupsbroccoli florets, finely chopped
  • 1 cupbreadcrumbs for binding
  • 1 1/2 cupsshredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cupgrated Parmesan cheese
  • 2eggs for binding
  • 2 tbspall-purpose flour for binding
  • 1/2 tspgarlic powder for seasoning
  • 1/2 tsponion powder for seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray for greasing the baking sheet

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Steam the broccoli florets until tender-crisp, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the chopped broccoli, breadcrumbs, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, eggs, and flour. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, and mix well.
  4. Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown, optionally broiling for an additional 1-2 minutes for extra crispiness.

Notes

Don’t overcook the broccoli to maintain texture.
