- 1/2 cupunsalted butter (softened)
- 1/2 cupgranulated sugar
- 1/4 cuplight brown sugar (packed)
- 1large egg
- 1 tspvanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cupsall-purpose flour
- 1/2 tspbaking soda
- 1/4 tspsalt
- 1/2 cupchopped nuts (optional)
- 1/2 cupwhite chocolate chips (optional)
- 1 tsplemon zest (optional)
Instructions
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth to make the cheesecake filling.
- Scoop out 2-tablespoon-sized portions of cookie dough onto a lined baking sheet and create a small well in the center of each dough ball.
- Fill the wells with cheesecake filling and swirl in the blueberry mixture.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are set and centers are slightly soft.
Notes
Use fresh blueberries for the best flavor, but frozen can work if thawed and drained.
Chill the dough for 30 minutes if cookies spread too much while baking.
Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
