- 1lb (450 g) broccoli florets, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 10 oz(280 g) sliced mushrooms (white button or cremini mushrooms work best)
- 2cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup(60ml) soy sauce
- 2 tspsesame oil
- 1 tbsprice vinegar
- 1 tspsugar
- 1/2 tspred pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)
- 1 tbspcornstarch
- 2 tbspcooking oil (neutral oil like canola or vegetable oil)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the vegetables by washing the broccoli and slicing the mushrooms.
- Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and add cooking oil.
- Add sliced mushrooms to the hot pan and sauté for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
- Toss in the blanched broccoli and stir everything together.
- Add minced garlic, sauté for 30 seconds, then pour the sauce over the vegetables and stir for 2-3 minutes.
- Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds or fresh herbs.
