A vibrant and healthy dish combining the earthy taste of mushrooms and the crisp freshness of broccoli, perfect for a quick meal.


Ingredients

  • 1lb (450 g) broccoli florets, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 10 oz(280 g) sliced mushrooms (white button or cremini mushrooms work best)
  • 2cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup(60ml) soy sauce
  • 2 tspsesame oil
  • 1 tbsprice vinegar
  • 1 tspsugar
  • 1/2 tspred pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)
  • 1 tbspcornstarch
  • 2 tbspcooking oil (neutral oil like canola or vegetable oil)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the vegetables by washing the broccoli and slicing the mushrooms.
  2. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat and add cooking oil.
  3. Add sliced mushrooms to the hot pan and sauté for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Toss in the blanched broccoli and stir everything together.
  5. Add minced garlic, sauté for 30 seconds, then pour the sauce over the vegetables and stir for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds or fresh herbs.

Fresh ingredients make a significant difference in flavor.
Stir-frying works best at high heat to keep vegetables crisp.
