Description

A delightful appetizer featuring creamy burrata cheese, crispy prosciutto, and fresh peaches on toasted bread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1loaf of sourdough or French baguette, sliced
  • cupgrated Parmesan cheese
  • cupgrated Pecorino cheese
  • 1clove garlic, grated
  • 2 tablespoonsfresh thyme leaves
  • 2 tablespoonsmelted butter
  • 4 ouncesprosciutto
  • 8 ouncesburrata cheese, at room temperature
  • 2peaches, sliced
  • Hot honey (for drizzling)
  • Fresh basil leaves

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. On a baking sheet, mix together the Parmesan, Pecorino, grated garlic, fresh thyme, melted butter, and a pinch of black pepper. Spread this mixture evenly across the sheet.
  3. Place the sliced baguette over the cheesy mixture, then brush the tops of the bread with additional melted butter. Arrange the prosciutto slices on top of or around the bread.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the bread is golden and crispy and the prosciutto has crisped up nicely.
  5. Transfer the cheesy bread to a serving platter or board. Tear the burrata and spread it over the bread. Top with fresh peach slices, crispy prosciutto, and basil leaves.
  6. Drizzle the crostini with hot honey to add a sweet and spicy kick. These crostini are delicious when served warm, but they’re equally great at room temperature.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, omit the prosciutto.
Hot honey can be adjusted to taste for sweetness and spiciness.
