Ingredients
- 1pound fresh cherries, pitted and halved
- 1/4 cupAmaretto liqueur
- 1 tablespoonsugar
- 16ladyfingers
- 8 ozmascarpone cheese
- 1 cupheavy cream
- 1/4 cuppowdered sugar
- 1 teaspoonvanilla extract
- 1/2 cupbrewed espresso, cooled
- Cocoa powder, for dusting
- Shaved dark chocolate (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the cherry mixture by combining cherries, Amaretto, and sugar in a bowl. Let sit for 30 minutes.
- Make the mascarpone cream by whisking mascarpone, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Whip heavy cream and fold into the mascarpone mixture.
- Assemble the tiramisu by dipping ladyfingers in espresso, layering them with mascarpone and cherry mixtures.
- Chill the assembled tiramisu for at least 4 hours or overnight. Dust with cocoa powder and add chocolate shavings before serving.
