A delightful twist on the classic Italian dessert, combining fresh cherries and Amaretto liqueur for a rich and creamy treat.


Ingredients

  • 1pound fresh cherries, pitted and halved
  • 1/4 cupAmaretto liqueur
  • 1 tablespoonsugar
  • 16ladyfingers
  • 8 ozmascarpone cheese
  • 1 cupheavy cream
  • 1/4 cuppowdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoonvanilla extract
  • 1/2 cupbrewed espresso, cooled
  • Cocoa powder, for dusting
  • Shaved dark chocolate (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cherry mixture by combining cherries, Amaretto, and sugar in a bowl. Let sit for 30 minutes.
  2. Make the mascarpone cream by whisking mascarpone, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Whip heavy cream and fold into the mascarpone mixture.
  3. Assemble the tiramisu by dipping ladyfingers in espresso, layering them with mascarpone and cherry mixtures.
  4. Chill the assembled tiramisu for at least 4 hours or overnight. Dust with cocoa powder and add chocolate shavings before serving.

Notes

Use ripe cherries for the best flavor.
Chill overnight for better flavor melding.
Be gentle when folding whipped cream into mascarpone.
Serve chilled for the best experience.
This dessert can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
