Crispy oven-baked sweet potato fries that are easy to make and packed with flavor.


Ingredients

  • 2medium sweet potatoes, peeled (optional) and cut into fries
  • 2 tablespoonsolive oil
  • 1 teaspoongarlic powder
  • 1 teaspoonpaprika (smoked paprika is optional for extra flavor)
  • 1 teaspoonsalt
  • ½ teaspoonblack pepper
  • 1 tablespooncornstarch (optional, for extra crispiness)
  • Fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme (optional)
  • Chili powder or cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Cut the sweet potatoes into fries, aiming for about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. In a large bowl, toss the cut fries with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Arrange the seasoned fries on a hot baking sheet in a single layer.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through for even cooking.

Notes

Soaking the fries for at least 30 minutes helps achieve crispiness.
Dry the fries thoroughly after soaking to avoid sogginess.
Keep an eye on the fries during the last few minutes of baking to prevent burning.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge and reheat in the oven.
