  • 1 1/2lbsboneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2cupall-purpose flour (for coating)
  • 1/2 teaspoonsalt
  • 1/4 teaspoonblack pepper
  • 2 tablespoonsolive oil
  • 1/4cupunsalted butter
  • 1/3cuphoney
  • 2 tablespoonssoy sauce
  • 1 tablespoonapple cider vinegar (or rice vinegar)
  • 2cloves garlic, minced
  • Fresh parsley or chives, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Chicken:In a shallow bowl, mix the flour, salt, and pepper. Dredge the chicken pieces in the flour mixture until evenly coated.
  2. Cook the Chicken:In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the Sauce:In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in the honey, soy sauce, and vinegar, and cook until the sauce begins to thicken, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Combine and Serve:Return the chicken to the skillet, tossing it in the honey butter sauce until fully coated. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to warm through. Garnish with chopped parsley or chives if desired. Serve with rice or veggies, and enjoy!

Notes
