  • 1/2cuphoney
  • 1/3cuplow-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4cupketchup
  • 4cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoonrice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
  • 1 teaspoondried thyme
  • 1 teaspoondried basil
  • 1 tablespooncornstarch
  • 2 tablespoonswater

Instructions

  1. Prep the Sauce:In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, ketchup, minced garlic, rice vinegar, thyme, and basil until smooth.
  2. Add to Crockpot:Place the chicken in the crockpot and pour the sauce over the top, ensuring the chicken is well-coated.
  3. Cook:Cover and cook onlow for 4-5 hoursorhigh for 2-3 hoursuntil the chicken is tender and cooked through.
  4. Thicken the Sauce:In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to make a slurry. Stir it into the crockpot, cover, and cook on high for an additional15-20 minutesuntil the sauce thickens.

Notes

Optional Veggies:Add chopped bell peppers, broccoli, or snap peas in the last hour of cooking for extra color and flavor.
