- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 4 flour tortillas (6 inches)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon neutral oil (vegetable, canola, or avocado)
- 4 slices American cheese
- 1 small onion, diced
- Dill pickle chips
- Shredded iceberg lettuce
Instructions
- Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and gently roll each into a ball.
- Place each beef ball onto a tortilla and flatten it into a thin, even layer. Season with salt and pepper.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add oil.
- Place each tortilla meat-side down into the skillet and sear for 2–3 minutes until crispy.
- Flip each tortilla, place a slice of cheese on top of the beef, and cook for 1–2 more minutes.
- Top with lettuce, onion, and pickle chips. Add sauce if desired.
- Serve immediately while hot and crispy.
